About this blog

Hi all

First of all thanks visiting my blog.

I have set this blog up as an inspirational message to anyone that achievement is just a state of mind and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. As long as you want something enough and are willing to work at it in spite of what anyone else says, you will achieve.

Now, you probably thinking ‘What a cliché’ What makes this blog different to any others spreading inspirational messages? Well the answer is that these are not empty statements or hypocritical lectures, these are all true anecdotes of my life and ideas that I have and still are fighting with.

My name is Doron Barsam and as a child I have been through hell and back. At the age of 6 I was diagnosed with a Medulla Blastoma (Brain tumour) and a recurrence at the age of 8. I spent most of my early years in hospital and after my 2nd tumour, I was left with a predicted life expectancy of less then 2 months or at the very least a severe brain damage and total paralysis.

I am now in my late 20’s and through great perseverance and focus I have achieved a 2:1 in Birmingham University, I have managed to replace most of my childhood memories with new ones and  I am working in a job that I look forward to waking up for every morning. I am still riddled with questions and haven’t had an easy path to get were I am today, but would like to share some of my thoughts and ideologies with you so you might benefit from them as I continue to do so. It may of taken me slightly longer to arrive at this positive state of mind and my childhood illnesses has definitely left me with more obstacles to overcome, but it also has made it that much more of a personal achievement when I do.
